The caller started to speak fast with a foreign accent and disconnected when asked to identify themselves.

This number called me at 07:25 with an automated message saying they were from Amazon and that I should call them back, the line was very crackly.

I was then passed on to a supervisor to confirm my email address – which I did. Microsoft from Reading called from this number and repeated the call 3 times despite scepticsm. Apparently all our devices have been hacked. It was difficult getting them off the phone but although they were convincing I think this was a scam caller that tried to keep us on the line and did so for 12 mins!!
