This is one of those 'We are calling in regards to an accident which you have had' type of calls. They are distasteful and highly inappropriate!

Checked Energy prices this morning took care not to advise home or Mobile number yet these people appear to have related my enquiry to my Mobile.I have raised issues about these type of Companies with Ofcom to no avail.We have call blockers on both Home and Mobiles but they Bypass by using 0044 as the initial access point.Even TPS is ignored.

I received a call from this number at 16:55 to tell me that the government owed me over ?4k I gave no bank details and when I asked what company they were calling from I was told it was a dept of the UK Government. I was also given ref no.RB51. I was told to call back in 5 mins to speak to a manager who would explain further and send me my cheque. If it was the UK Government surely they would write to people!!!
