Called me claiming to be Scottish Power, wanted me to tell them my address, saying I had a debt on my account. I asked them to tell me the address to which they claimed the debt was overdue on, but they couldn't. When I told them that I have never had an account with Scottish Power, they became very aggressive and eventually told me to f..k off and hung up on me.

Missed call from the Bereavement team at Yorkshire Building Society. I phoned them back on a different known number and confirmed that the number that had called me was genuine by getting connected to, and speaking to the person who had left me the voice message.

Think it’s a scammer on FB, has hacked into an account on there and pretending to be a widower living in Bedford. The phone is being used in the Preston area. I have blocked before he tries to extract money from me. He will not send current face photo with today’s date in his hand so I know it is a scammer. The FB profile hacked looks very American not Uk. Call was a recorded message saying that I had 2 transactions off £750 off my Credit card this morning if this was not you press 1. I didn't do it but I did check with my accounts and it appears to be a scam. As they didnt say which Credit company either. Plus surely they wouldn't use a mobile phone either. They would use land line to ring from. Plus an email or text.

Calls from 0115-677-5963 are a Scam! If ever you don't recognise the number, DON'T SPEAK & JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anyone and after a short pause the line goes dead, then congratulations you've just successfully escaped being scammed! This is because it was a computer calling trying to establish if your number was in use and if a voiceline. If you'd spoken, your number would be logged as a voiceline and some clever con-artist would then be phoning you later.
