Fraud: This was a text received stating someone was trying to change recipient details on an HSBC account and they wanted me to confirm details and authenticity. However, I have not had an HSBC account for more than 4 years. Please report the number to your phone carrier and apply the normal block and spam filter to the number. Told me his name was Vitali and he was calling because i had a problem with my router and that i would need to swap to a talk talk one (I m not with talk talk). He tried to get me to do stuff on my computer and told me it was full of errors. Not very happy when I called him out on it. He gave me Virgin Media s sales number when i asked him for his number as i didnt believe him. But 1471 told me he called from this number. Watch out.

Steve is correct, it is Bauer Media. If you ve entered your number online somewhere for a free magazine (I d asked for Marie Claire / Instyle) then they re calling for your address. Theyll also offer you 3 issues for £1.00. Spoke to a lovely lady and she asked if I wanted future calls for offers and so I said no. It s all legit. However, they need to work on their employees... I had another call minutes later from a guy there who was on the phone to someone else!!

Received call from this number with a recorded voice claiming to be from "bank fraud department" stating that large amount of money has been taken from my account. I have since checked the number and it appears to be a legitimate local school number. However, the received scam call was recorded on my phone as being from this number.
Got a call from a pleasant girl saying she was from "Energy Rescue" at EuroCentral in Motherwell. I took control of the call with lots of chit chat, asking how her day was, how many calls has she made, what was the company phone number, what was their address, had she been working long today etc. etc. etc. I now do this with all calls and it drives them nuts. I stay calm and happy and in fact I occasionally get comments that I m wasting THEIR time!! So whenever you receive a call be pleasant, ask
