This is a company called Business Advisory Services who appear to be a genuine energy broker but they are aggressive and pushy on the phone. They don t really declare that they are a broker and ask for information on your energy bills. Having established they are a broker, I told them we have an energy broker we are very happy with. Said they were from Carphone Warehouse offering a brand new phone for only £35 per month. Stayed on the call with them and I told them my D.O.B (I gave a fake one) when they asked for my contact details. They then asked for my D.O.B again to which I gave a completely different date which did not phase the man on the other end of the line. So I strung him on for as long as I could before hanging up as I couldnt think of a fake address to give. Next time Ill have one ready! :) This number is a scammer.

Fraud - claim to be from HMRC and there is a warrant for your arrest. They say don't hang up phone call otherwise they will record that you tried to run away from arrest and they will be waiting at your place of residence until you arrive to arrest you. With the pandemic, lots of people have had trouble paying tax, so it might seem real, but this is a scam. They will always give you a chance to work out a payment plan. Avoid, block.
