This number called Saturday 4th March early to say they were calling on behalf of amazon they were trying to stop our amazon account being hacked and our credit cards charged. Short story they are scammers trying to release you of your funds. They then continue with mobile phone numbers after this point. Be extremely careful when answering this number.

An urgent verbal message on a loop advising me that Trojan software had been active on my system and that I should not switch off and should phone this number which I did - they said they were Microsoft (a residential number!?) The person wanted me to hold down the Windows and 'R' keys so that he could correct the problem. I asked him if that enabled him to take control of my machine and he then put the phone down. Seems dodgy.

O clue.why so many scam calls.they left no messages. Don't ring them back to see who it was, they have a recorded message and they'll store your telephone number and ring you relentlessly thereafter.
