I moved house four months ago. I have a private and protected landline number (used to be called ex-directory). I have a call from this number at 7.15 pm on a Sunday evening??? How and why?? Overseas noisy background call centre female claiming to be from ‘the technical department’ not a specific company just technical department. Red flags were didn’t know my name or address. I challenged her told her she was talking rubbish about being a technical department. I used a few choice profanities to which she called me a few! I asked her if those were technical terms and she hung up! Obvious scamming call. The call was at 08:45 on a Saturday.
