Scam caller claiming to be from Virgin. The call was made by an official sounding call centre (the woman sounded Indian). She claimed that there has been suspicious activity from unknown IP addresses using my account and that it was being used for criminal activity and that she needed to help me protect my firewalls etc. I immediately became suspicious as I'd heard of such calls being made and told her that I'd call Virgin directly to resolve any issues. Calls from 0115-677-5963 are a Scam! If ever you don't recognise the number, DON'T SPEAK & JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anyone and after a short pause the line goes dead, then congratulations you've just successfully escaped being scammed! This is because it was a computer calling trying to establish if your number was in use and if a voiceline. If you'd spoken, your number would be logged as a voiceline and some clever con-artist would then be phoning you later.

Clearly fraudsters trying to get money on basis of '' your bank / credit card has been used for a non authorised payment of £1100'' and encouragement to press option 1 to resolve the issue.

Someone called our offices and abused our admin assistant, when rang back to ask why they did this the number was unobtainable. whoever called upset a young lady enough for her to start crying and need to be sent home with another member of staff.

Automated call claiming to be from you bank - said that they had 2 suspicious transactions on my account and to press 1 to speak to their team. I checked my account whilst on the phone and nothing showing up - so this is blatantly a phishing scam under the guise of your bank... beware

This number, an automated woman's voice, called my landline today and purported to be the bank saying that they're checking a £600 payment from my bank account to somewhere abroad. As my bank say they'd never phone me for details such as this caller was asking I suspected a scam and put the phone down straightaway. SCAM

Pretending to call on behalf of the DVLA. Wanting to know if I owned a diesel car in return for compensation. I didnt confirm. Knew my first name. Got aggressive and refused to remove my details from the database. Threatened me with more calls. Blocked and reported.

They said they were from Amazon and I had a £900 transaction taken from my account he asked me to follow his instructions ( I did know it was a scam) I told him ok he said to put him on loud speaker and he was going to give me a 9 digit code to enter into my phone, I asked him if he could call me back in 10 minutes when my daughter is home as she works for the police he suddenly hung up. I have passed the phone number on to Amazon but I’m worried about the people that they do trap please don’t give any one
