Scam mobile number. After i made a flight booking through OPODO i immediately get a txt message saying my credit card was declined and i was to answer YES to stop future declined. Unfortunately i did reply YES. So this could mean they will use my number for future scam attempts. I already checked my phone for any malware (avg scan). Anything else i should do? Not a scam, it's fine! Was told it was HSBC and was asked to verify my identity by the agent on the other end. I let them know I would call back directly to avoid a scam and she said okay, she would put a note on my file about it, and ended the call. I called HSBC directly through their official phone line and asked about it and they DID find a note on my file - it was totally legitimate! If in doubt go ahead and call back anyway, it's good practice, but don't ignore this number because it is actually real

SCAM - Call to my landline at 9.53 today. It was a pre-recorded message saying they were querying a suspicious Debit Card payment of £600 sent abroad. They did not say what bank or give any other details. I was asked to press 1 to speak to someone or 2 to confirm. I hung up.

SCAM Cold call from John of the equity team claimed changes to equity release scheme, wanted to ask me questions to see if I was eligible 'phishing' said I wasn't interested, he said I didn't need to be at this stage I then said he had cold called and it was illegal he said that wasn't right. I repeated he was a cold caller and I wasn't interested. He remained polite but realised he was getting nowhere. I withheld my number and rang 01970607568, it rang, then automated voice, number not accepting calls.

Received this call today. It came approximately 30 minutes after a call from a Cambridge number 01223 931995. The Cambridge number went dead on answering. The 01330 563426 number allowed me to answer, and an automated message said it was the HMRC and that I would be fined. You could press 1 to talk to an agent. I hung up. You cannot ring back.
