Called asking if I had been involved in a car accident. As I said no, she asked then how about a family member. I then asked her if she was trying to scam me and she hung.

Called about loft insulation. Said if was not a “selling” call it was a survey carried out to see if insulation was to standard. Then went on to say she Kew it was not to current standards but still denied it was a sales call. When I asked her to cut to the chase and not blindly following a script. She became abusive said I was a clever dick if I could see down the phone at what she was doing then she swore at me and hung up. Nice.

Are based in Scotland with no known office in 01305 exchange area. Have calls from Scotland re-routed through local exchange numbers in order to persuade people to answer a local number. If you call it back, then the call is again re-routed back to their Scotland office. Not sure if this is an illegal practice under telephony legislation, but would be interested if anyone can come up with the legislation about having calls re-routed to give the answering CLI the impression that the call is local.

Received a call this morning from the above number. Said that my pension was now due for review. Said they were the PENSIONS ADVICE BUREAU and confirmed my address and postcode. Said they were conducting reviews on UK pensions and that my pension was due for review. Seems strange as I have no pension nor is one then up for review. recorded message about national insurance number being involved in crime and to press 1 or be arrested.
Received a call from 02039741025 and when I answered I was greeted by an automated voice message saying my details had been linked to fraudulent activities and that if I did not call them back my bank accounts would be frozen. I blocked the number on my phone and 1 day later I received a similar call from 02039174216. I have not been able to confirm this but it all seems to be a scam.
