This is because your insurer has sold on your contact details to this third party who will try to get you to make accident claims for a cut of the payout. I called this Scam number from a letter send by a company call Rothesay and Experian. A man answered and put me through to a woman who started asking me a lot if personal questions. I discovered she was located in South Africa. I then realized it was a SCAM.

SCAM Apparaenly a Policeman from Flicton (then changed his story to Richmond) police station. Told my parents someone had stolen money from their bank and bought a laptop. Gave my parents this number to call which they didn’t. Get a real job and stop scamming decent people

This number relates to an investment scam called GFA capital. They get you to deposit a small amount of money ($275) and they claim they invest it in crypto and produce huge results. In 5 days my $275 grew to $75000. WOW Then one of their senior investment managers calls you and shows you a bitcoin opportunity, invest $18000 and they will produce a $10000 return in 5 days. BULLSHIT. I requested a withdrawal from my pot and was told that I had to pay £12000 tax to release the funds. Dangerous scam

Said that my Bank card had been used twice today and if it was not me gave me the stale ring 1 or ring 2 options. Have not called them back and have no intention of doing so. Indian man who claimed to be from EE then claimed to be calling on behalf of all major mobile carriers and listed Virgin, O2, Vodaphone etc, demanded repeatedly my phone bill. Sounded hostile and claimed to be offering a 40% discount. The sound of chatter could be heard in the background. Block this number. The British government really needs to do more to safeguard citizens from whatever fraud they had planned.
