Another call from Amazon,.. to inform you of a card payment,,. automated female voice.
SCAM I was phoned by this number today. It was a crackly line and the woman said she it was a bank call telling me that there were 2 suspicious payments from my bank account today. One for £300 and one for £3000. There were nos to press to agree to the payments or a number to speak to someone. I ended the call and then redialled the number registered, but it said that it was an incorrect number.

Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call. Reported to the ICO

Part of a block-dialing network usually starting with 020 8058 xxxx, phone rings, if you answer call is hung up. No doubt part of a vile scammer outfit using auto-dialers - I get 020 8058 calls a couple of times a month.

Asked her what country she was calling from and what location which she wouldn't answer, she then wanted to know if I was a private or social tennant. SCAM. I am listing this unknown, to me, number as a scam number because it only rang a few times and cut off without leaving a message. I do not know anyone from Whitehaven either. If they don't leave a message best to ignore the call and consider it suspicious!
