Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.

Claimed to be from o2 offering 30% discount on bills due to cost of living crisis - clearly targeting vulnerable people who may be desperate. Offered no information to validate who they were & told me "don't you worry about that" when I asked any questions!

Received a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft saying that they've detected a problem with my computer and asked if I can switch on my computer. I refused and challenged them; caller eventually put me onto their "supervisor" and he asked me if I understood the nature of this call from Microsoft today but I told him that I didn't believe he was and he said "OK then f**k off" and I replied "Likewise" and hung up. Automated call from American sounding lady informing me that an overseas surcharge had been made on my Paypal account for £199 - press 1 to pay the surcharge or press 2 to speak to customer service. Put the phone down at this point and blocked the number.

Hmrc scam call. Says you'll go to jail if you don't pay. Never give bank details or payment details over the phone.

SCAM Guy called Daniel Gomes purporting to be from Amazon Prime informing me that someone in Manchester had tried to use my account and they needed to verify my details or my account would be suspended for my protection. I did not supply any information, but was told to think about it and call back on 0208 123 7233 which I certainly did not do. I was called again later and this time I hung up. I have received genuine e-mails from Amazon mentioning this type of scam.

I got a text from this number pretending to have a verification number for Microsoft. I refreshed the website and got Microsoft to send me another a verification number. When Microsoft text you, it will say MICROSOFT. If a mobile number comes up, DO NOT USE THAT CODE.

Appears to be a scam. Supposed to have paid £216 in March 2021 for 2 years cover on electrical items further 3 years to pay for now. Supposed to have signed a contract but when I asked for a copy of supposed contract to be forwarded caller hung up!!!

Danger - this number is from a scam Norton 360 protection email. It asks you to call number if you want to cancel the new subscription you have supposedly auto renewed. Would not have worked on me as I have taken Norton 360 as it’s crap as a protection software tool. If I had I would have gone direct to the Norton rather than respond to a high lighted number in an email.

SCAM Had the name of the person who had my number a decade ago. Told me that person had given them this number when bought a washing machine in 2018. When I pointed this out they hung up so I could not find out the nature of the scam. But number could have been spoofed.
