Fraud Of the worst kind Attempting to cause anxiety. Recorded message says it’s HMRC, it is not Says phone back immediately or a warrant will be issued for your arrest. Some will be worried enough to do this but nothing good will come of responding I am also reporting to police.
This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with Barclays - third party company serving as a debt collection centre for them, will call you in case of problems with your ballance or just to offer something new.

After answering, the caller hung up. I returned the call and got a dead line response, suggesting this number is a scam of some sort. My advice would be to ignore or block this number and not to phone it back. If it is legitimate they would have left a message.

Do not ignore this number. It is not a scam. Because of the comments I ignored it and left it a day to go into the bank and ask if it is genuine. It is and my account was being hacked. These fraud people are brilliant and stopped my account being emptied.

Call to my landline 16 April at 12:13. Caller asked for a name which even after repeating could not be recognised. Then proceded with what might have been sales patter but Asian accent and speed of delivery made it incomprehensable. Respond that I couldn t understand anything she said and hung up.

Quoted me an email I used years ago for spam and said I had recently entered a competition to win an iPhone.. however I hadn't won but now was allowed to enter into a secret lottery syndicate. In short it's a sales call trying to sell you entry in a lottery syndicate.. whether it's legit I do not know. Had 3 other numbers this week also doing the same I've had to block. To be fair the lady on the end was polite and a laugh.. just doing her job I suppose.
