18 Oct 2021 - Received a call from this number stating that they are from HMRC but it’s some robot talking so I pressed 1 to see where they are calling from. A woman answered stating she’s from HMRC couldn’t give me anymore detail, then kept asking for my name when I was called from them? So surely they should know my name. Claimed my computer had been hacked. Phoned back four times, saying they were from Google. A different voice then came on asking mope to write down a code number to check they were genuine. Did not check but reported this number to Actionfraud police number. Very, very upsetting. Now scanning my pc for any signs af hacking. Will take several hours.

My phone rang at about 13.17 today (14.06.2018, and it took about 12/15 seconds for me to each the phone just as it stopped ringing .I dialled 1471 and then Googled the number. I do not know who was the caller and certainly not a number known to me so I assume that it was spam. I live on the Isle of Man and am an OAP.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 11642826xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with car accident chasers, mostly Central claims Group, just another insurance telemarketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
