Tried to claim I was under investigation by HMRC. Asked his name (to which the evidently-Indian man replied, "Mark Williams" after a pause) and told him the police were listening to the call. He quickly hung up.
This number is claimed to be from a legal company, stating that I had a car collision! When I told them that he had a mistake, he said it must be someone else who lived in my household within the last 3 years. When I told him that we had lived in our house for over a decade and no others living with us, he then put the phone down on me! How rude!!
My house is under surveillance! No idea what they wanted though.

They happen to much to often they are against the the law but the law isnt intrested .becuase the phone companys make money from the scamers to scam us so they all make money from us so thier is no apptie or desire to.stop these ever incresing scams despite english laws in place that stae this activity is illegle. I d ignored this call for ages, but it rang when my baby was asleep and I couldn t mute it quick enough and accidentally answered it. All I hear was congratulations before I disconnected it. I came on this site and rang O2 to check whether I would be charged, and they said no. I would only be charged if I called them.

This was a scam call. The egregious little so and sos.
Received call about 4.10pm 28-08-2020, lifted receiver and spoke , but received no acknowledgement , just several voices speaking in the distance in an enclosed space ,such as an office, since there was no response i hung up and called callprotect to blacklist caller.

My partner has an ongoing battle with Safari Mobile. When she complained, they produced some detailed-looking reports, but refused to divulge the actual sign-up URL. After several e-mails, they eventually coughed up £50.00 as a 'good will' gesture, but the total owing was over £250.00. My partner was adamant she never signed up for the service and today she finally got hold of the bill for July 2016 which proves this beyond doubt.
