This number called me 07/10/2022 just after 09:30 with an automated message claiming from HM rev & cust. I hung up half way through message because 100% scam!!

Asked how she got my number and she said it was 'randomly generated' by a computer. This number keeps calling me, I block it and I get a called from a similar number with one of the last four digits changed.
Cold call. Hard to understand what was being said but claimed to be EE making some offer. To be fair, caller didn't persist.

Junk mail dropper not registered at companies House
This is a number that is in a series of numbers from 0843566xxxx on rotation that I have been blocking for 3+ years. It’s clearly cold calling for insurance as I have answered a call however most calls ring 3 times before ending the call. Very difficult to track. And every time you block one number, another variation of the first 7 numbers appears a few days later. Very annoying. Very frustrating.
I believe the email I received regarding a BT bill is a scam like several previous ones as the address is not a BT one. This is the phone number quoted in the email.
