Claimed to be from carphone warehouse, as soon as I went to speak they hung up. A quick google shows the number is linked to an unrelated government contract which is concerning. I suspect they were phoning only to see if I would answer.

This is number purports to come from the NCA but is a scam

Indian "gentleman", claims he is from Microsoft. Says my computer is downloading spurious files. I asked him how he knew it was my computer, he said by the machine ID. When I asked what this was he quoted "888DCA....." which is NOT a machine ID, it is a standard Microsoft code related to zip-files, which I told him. The call was terminated immediately...!

The caller said she was from O2 and We were due for a free gift of Wireless Headphones as a security what was my place of birth. I found out that the fraudsters had chaned my password by going on the O2 website and requesting a 6 digit number and asking me to give it to them.. I don't thimk I have suffered losses . I obviously reset my password. The caller was an Indian female, this is not unusual as, Indian Call Centres are experts in fraud I have been involved in investigating Indian call centre.
These people have called my home several times a day while I have been out at work and keep on calling through the evening. The one time I was home and answered they hung up.
