Said he was from BT and they are about to disconnect my internet because I had apparently downloaded such bad viruses that it was affecting their network, lol. He said he can show me on my computer. I asked him to give me my BT account number. He started to get agitated and said he cannot do that over the phone. So I asked him to tell me my address and he said F*** you and hung up.

Our number is registered with the TPS. This call came at 09:50 on Monday. Recorded (or synthesised) Northern English (Huddersfield?) male voice. Claimed to be calling from Amazon about illegal/suspicious "activity on your account", as a result of which a charge of over £1,000 to "the card linked to the account" had been stopped. For once, an unknown number that is actually legit. It was a call from Thames Water. I didn t answer as I didn t recognise the number but the voice message was genuine with specific details (including the correct address) about a drainage issue I d discussed with them earlier. Genuine call.

A woman who introduced herself as an employee of FEA marketing wanted me "advise"

It's a sales call. I missed it but it's a local number so called it back and got an answer machine message from Nationwide

Supposed to be pc maintenance or windows tech support. Called from this number and also 004258967. 2 calls a day for 2 days so far. Indian sounding accents, very insistent and persistent . They said their number was 08000188351. Said they were calling with regards problems slowing down my oc on internet. I have reported to action fraud and suggest others do the same.
