SCAM Nuisance call. Silence when you answer then hangs up. Its as though they are testing if the line is LIVE. 2nd nuisance call within an hour - 1st was from 'MICROSOFT SECURITY' think these are connected. Reported number to TPS service.

This number called my mobile and I ignored it which I do routinely. Then called it back from a switchboard number (so would be unknown to them) - permanently engaged. Quite constent with a dodgey number.
Had calls from 01509 553080 and 553082 saying they are from carphone Warehouse Head Office. Am expecting a call back today, but will ask for this deal to be confirmed in email.When you call the numbes back one is a message saying "Carephone Warehouse" the other is a message saying E2Save" is would guess this is not a Carphone warehouse employee and as a result will remove my business from them and go direct with the Service Provider.

Have previously had about three missed calls from this number - just picked up the latest call and they informed me that I d had a car accident at some point since July 2010 - I have never had a car accident, thank goodness. I asked them where they got this information from - they said they purchased these details from a company and had got them as I had registered the accident but hadn t claimed anything. If this really is HSBC s fraud dept they are staggeringly incompetent and l am by no means convinced that it is. Question of whether there has been fraud on my account remains unsolved - l was unable to give the exact year that l opened my account - approx 40 years ago - and so failed my telephone security check . May be genuine, but they asked me to repeat the same information re my account so many times that l was suspicious, and would urge caution

Claimed to be from BT OpenReach. Explained they were contacting people re internent connection. (1) Was asked if internet speed was okay. Replied upload/download speed fine. Was asked for precise speeds. Said I wasn't in front of a computer but upload/download speed fine. Had to say this three times. (2) Was told my area experiencing slow speeds. Explained internet speed fine. (3) Was told I would be cut off later today. Started to explain I wouldn't and that I didn't take kindly to threats but was cut
The number is from SCAMMERS. When you pick up the phone when they call, you get immediately the waiting music. This is typical scam behavior. If you call back, you probably get into an expensive hotline.
