Claimed to be paid by Microsoft, insisted I switch on my computer which supposedly had a virus. Resisted and argued when challenged, became abusive and continued to try to persuade me (but failed). Automated caller saying they were Amazon and that I had purchased merchandise to the value of £1000 on my card, then asked me to press 1 to confirm the order or 2 to speak with ...

They called a few times and hung up when I answered. Then they called again saying that they needed my expiry date on my credit card. I wasted their time until they hung up.
