SCAM: the number that called was too long to be identified as a phone number - it had 006 44 in front of it, which is probably deliberate to make it impossible to search. I could hear a call centre. Indian sounding guy asked for me by name. Told him he had the wrong number & he hung up.
Getting between 3 & 5 calls a day from these people - thankfully my mobile has a reject number option!
It was a recorded call offering to wipe out my unsecured debts. Will be reporting them to TPS, for all the good that will do...
My daughter receives nasty and offensive messages from that number couple of times. Some of them sounded quite dangerous.
Keep getting this and other numbers I don't recognize ringing me, i keep ignoring them, it is annoying, wish I could find a way of stopping them!

This number and the previous numbers used are allocated to etctelecom ltd so they may be behind these calls or could do something about them. Try complaining via their website http://etctelecom.co.uk/contact/. Also obviously complain to the ICO also as they do not appear to have enough yet.
