They should know whose account the transactions were on Second warning sign - As far as I'm aware Visa don't contact people direct, your card issuer will contact you. So it would have been Lloyds, Halifax, barclaycard, etc
Caller claimed to be from a company called Medical Health Services based in Bournemouth but refused to give address, saying I could Google it. There is no such company. He said he was calling people over 60 with a special offer on an emergency alarm device.

Call received from this number today, 27 February 2023 @ 10:16. I did not answer, but they left a message, which I felt was an attempt to trick me into responding in order to avoid paying unlawful requests for several hundred pounds. It’s a scam! Told me they had noticed an unusual amount for £1100.00 had been taken from my account. Said they wanted to verify that I had spent it, which I hadn’t but they wanted me to confirm account details.I asked who them to repeat who they were and they said from visa. I then knew it was a scam as I don’t have a visa account.

Tried to get me to go into the terminal of my computer and started inserting ridiculous stuff. As soon as I asked BT to email me officially and we take it from there, she went silent and hung up.
