had a missed call so checked the number. turns out to be somebody saying they are mostly from the DWP, they seem to want to offer you options to access your pension etc. they obviously are NOT the DWP.

i get called from number 01204329378 on a daily basis i get called from other numbers too, i dont know who they are because with these calls i usually check first on the internet to see what others have said when they have answered them and if they say its to do with selling, harrasment or scams i dont bother to answer it the next time they call more than once a day very annoying

Rang once, couldn t understand name of company but heard PPI, so put phone down, rang back immediately and the male operative said, "Why did you put the phone down", I replied, "Cos I m not interested". He answered, "Interested in what" in an angry tone, so I just said, "In whatever you re selling" and hung up again. The phone then rang again immediately and I didn t answer. I figured out what this is! It s when a mobile sends a text message to a landline - I rang my husband s mobile from our landline and a minute or so later got a silent call from this number. Husband s mobile sends out an automatic "I m on the phone will call you back" sms if he s on the line -- and this is what the callback was. Mystery solved! I suspect that other callers are being texted on their landlines by friends who select the wrong number to text.

Asked by an Asian sounding man if I had an accident in my car recently and was injured. Told him no and politely hung up.
Called about loft insulation. Said if was not a “selling” call it was a survey carried out to see if insulation was to standard. Then went on to say she Kew it was not to current standards but still denied it was a sales call. When I asked her to cut to the chase and not blindly following a script. She became abusive said I was a clever dick if I could see down the phone at what she was doing then she swore at me and hung up. Nice.
