Said that because they’d refunded an overpayment that my account may show in arrears and I may receive an automated letter due to this error. They will remove it but wanted to let me know that they may not be able to stop the letter. If they’re making this many calls for this reason they should probably just have sent an email to everyone!

"Sharon" from the "Citizens Advisory Service" just called me and informed me of some alleged unsecured loans that I need help with!?!?!? When I told her this was untrue and she shouldn t be looking at my financial information, she shouted "shut up. shut up!" down the phone and hung up. I d say that was pretty dodgy wouldn t you?

SCAM This purported to be from the HMRC telling me that a tax fraud case had been made against me. Press 1 to speak to the case officer (not going to happen!) or a warrant for my arrest would be issued if the call was not connected (yeah right!). I received a call from this number a while ago. When I picked it up I heard "thanks for your patience you will be transferred to an agent now" and the call was terminated. I called them back and a woman answered hello this is consumer helpline, how can I help . She then started saying something about loans. I am applying to jobsites and apparently there is a connection between a jobsite and this call, as I ve read in other comments as well.
