I too have just had exactly the same call as others from this Asian guy. I don t understand how these people can still be operating from the same telephone number without having been investigated and taken offline by the Police. Because no scam has actually taken place, Action Fraud don t want the detail, just to record the attempted fraud in their stats. Presumably some people are falling for this.

Has been calling on my mobile phone and I ignored the calls. Today I answered hoping then I could sort it out and the calls would stop. Guy with an Indian accent - had my name said he was from Virgin Media and asked me to confirm my details and my account number! When I asked him to confirm my details so I would know it was them calling me he did actually know what packages I had with Virgin.
