SCAM / SPAM - called purporting to be from BT Openreach about slow internet. I do currently have a case pending about slow net, so believed them at first. Got suspicious when they said they needed me to share my screen with them. When I asked them for a phone number to call them back on to check who they were they hung up. BEWARE.
Robot voice saying my NI number is being suspended as it has been involved in criminal activity and to press one to speak to an officer. Number blocked ????

Rang once, couldn t understand name of company but heard PPI, so put phone down, rang back immediately and the male operative said, "Why did you put the phone down", I replied, "Cos I m not interested". He answered, "Interested in what" in an angry tone, so I just said, "In whatever you re selling" and hung up again. The phone then rang again immediately and I didn t answer. Didn t like the tone of the call at all, or appreciate being rung back a further twice.

Call center Lady calling from a Health Insurance provider insisting on asking a few questions that would take under a minute. Despite my polite response of not being interested she still pushed so I gave her a chance. They know my full name, postcode and house number and when asked where this data is from they said it’s from a public database. I wouldn’t call it harmful but definitely doesn’t understand the word “no”
Missed calls, called back to automic machine, stella UK, tprobably sold by Vanquis bank. Do not answer or give information. PUT THEM ON HOLD BY PLAYING LOUD ROCK MUSIC DOWN THE PHONE!!! :D :D

I’m a vulnerable adult & this number is constantly ringing my phone every couple of hours everyday & leaving voicemails that I can’t even understand & can’t even understand what they are saying. I decided to answer the call as I'd had numerous from similar numbers. English male voice who knew my name & address and said it's about my Hotpoint washing machine warranty that's about to expire. The washing machine isn't in my name ???? Told them to get lost and hung up. Now blocked along with the other numbers obviously all linked
They called up impersonating HMRC with an automated message saying that there has been tax fraud in your name and that you will be arrested shortly if you don't press 1 and speak to someone immediately

SCAM Claimed to be from BT Broadband and told me my internet router was sending error signals to them and that I wasn't getting the speed I should be. They give you a bit of blurb about internet speed and then ask you to turn on your laptop, they ask you to press 'Ctrl + Windows +R' then type: - 'Eventvwr' into the box. They then use screen that comes up to persuade you that you have a problem. Once they have you convinced, which is easily done if you are not tech savvy, the sting.. Your money!!!
