This was an automated voice saying they were Amazon and I had been charged £95 for their Prime service - press one if I wanted to speak with someone or 2 if.... I had the same call from a different number the previous day and from a withheld number earlier this afternoon. This is obviously a scam of some sort.
I emailed them to send me a brochure but now they are calling me which is annoying as i just wanted to see what they had available Not going to order just browsing which i thought that i wouldnt have to get a call to confirm something that i have already written which really defeats the whole object Understand that its all sales to them but also need to realise that only asked for a brochure and if i have any questions i would call them myself

Got all my details wrong, claiming to be from a company I can't even understand. Connected to a phone company As soon as mentioned my wrong phone make I knew it wasn't a legit number
This number is used by scammers. My experience is that they advised me that my PayPal account had been used suspiciously, and invited me to call this number and get the supposed transaction cleared. What made this so dangerous, was the fact that they used the Paypal site giving this number to contact to resolve the problem. Very cute, they nearly caught me, but they asked too many questions about bank accounts, which set the alarm bells ringing. Asked why, the call was terminated.

My wife took the call and person with a Asian voice started to go on about my council tax and when i asked why he was calling at this time he said it was very important and i told him all government offices are closed and that this is a failed scam and he and his boss must be as thick as hell to call at this time then i put the phone down. Had the same as Judit when trying to call back after missing the call, which first showed up as an 0113 number in Edinburgh. Rang again today on this number and I answered: Indian guy with thick accent saying I had a car on finance in the last 8 years. Obviously this applies to most people. I just hung up. This occurred the day after listing my car for sale, so it's obviously a scam targeting those selling cars on Gumtree or Autotrader. I doubt they could tell you anything about yourself if you asked.
Claims to be a life insurance company I asked for a quote from. I have not asked for a quote. When I said I think this is a scam call, the woman got aggressive and asked how I know it is a scam call. She was a cow.

Missed call Very unusual voicemail left from this number saying that I phoned them (didn't even have my phone with me at the time) and wanted to know who I am. Very strange.

My wife answered. Foreign male called asking to speak to XXX. No security questions asked. Claimed he was from Microsoft. When told we were on TPS, he became argumentative. He clearly hadn't heard of TPS. When asked to remove our details from their database he became aggressive and said he would disconnect our phone at our address. He knew our address because he read it out! He then put the phone down when I said in the background we were connecting to the police.
SCAM - pretending to be from BT - about my internet speed. BT is not my ISP, but call using a local Derby number told me that BT is the parent company of all Interned and Broadband services, not true! Trying to force me to check my speed when I can check it through my own ISP. Wouldn't take no for an answer, told him I am going to call BBC Scammers and he hung up.
Scam call - woman rabbiting on about energy saving, need to send an energy consultant to my house to do a survey. 'Helen' good at talking but rubbish at listening! Asked her twice what is the name of her company but she kept talking fast. Asked her if she knows what TPS means (Telephone Preference Service supposed to stop unwanted calls), kept rabbiting on so asked again at which point she terminated the call.
