On their system they have me down to have had a car accident in the last 2 years. Not true but called me twice and so has the rest of my family
"We have been informed that you may have had a car accident that wasn't your fault". No you weren't and no I didn't. Menace!
SCAM They keep calling to as about insulation, or to follow up on the loft insulation I've just had fitted – I live in a ground floor flat! They say I'm on a renewable energy database but this was on my landline and I never give out that number to anyone.
This was actually just an automated BT text-to-landline service telling me the time slot for my Costco parcel delivery that I was expecting, so this was completely legit for me. It will try ringing you several times until you listen to the text message so just listen and it will stop. However, as it's a generic BT service it is open to abuse but I would advise against blocking it because the message delivery service itself is not a scam, just be aware though that the message you receive could be bogus.
Man phoned claimed to be from UK today, although a quick Google search nothing came up. Unusual as it's a bank holiday Monday.. asked for 30 seconds of my time.. asked if I was a home owner, and what age bracket I fell in.. 30 seconds were up so I hung up

Calling me while I am abroad means I pay a reception charge which is totally unfair. its the usual an automated service regarding some insurance or such. i wish i could block it, called me about 5 times now and when i dont hear phone it goes to voicemail and i get charged. no morals.

Called me cold enquiring speculatively enquiring about an alleged accident. They told me they had been sent the report regarding it and then asked me what date it was. When i told them they should know if they had any report they rather rudely and abruptly hanged up. Rude, intrusive, unprofessional and blocked.
Fraud says they were from BT and i had issues with my internet where someone had gained access and the IP address was being used in different place.

This number told me my kitchen appliances insurance had expired. Told them I was insured with another company and she claimed I was insured with them. I then told her that I was called by them a few weeks ago, and told her not to ring my number again. Think they want your bank details.
Insurance SPAM This number and very similar numbers have been calling me daily for a couple of weeks. I have missed the previous calls but answered today. A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. When I told him I don't have a policy he asked if I'd cancelled it and I told him I had and that I don't need life insurance. He immediately told me to have a good day and hung up. Just had a cold call several times from these using different numbers. They claimed to be clawing back mis-sold PPI, but having not had loads or credit cards, this can t be the case. Seemed to want to get me to confirm sensitive information which i wasn t comfortable giving out over the phone

Asked for acc details, put phone down and immediately rang my appliance insurance company and they said they havent been taken over by smart insurance.
