Rang, I answered with the Google Call Screening service. They hung up within a couple of seconds without leaving a message, so an obvious scammer.
SCAM. supposedly a call from visa security saying there had been fraudulent transactions on my account. The number is registered to a Garage services company in Burton on Trent.

Fortunately I was there to intercept. Said they were calling to offer free inspection of loft insulation because the Government has designated some of the old stuff as "irritant". I asked who they represent and she said they work with a number of companies. I asked what her organisation was and she told me she'd get a manager to ring back in the next half hour. SCAM - Tried to convince me that they were calling on behalf of a government debt consolidation scheme. When I said I wanted to check the validity of the company, they tried to convince me that they were genuine. I pointed out to them that any genuine company would be fine for their customers to do due diligence and that the fact they were trying to stop me doing that just screamed scam. They hung up on me.

Text job scam on Whatsapp. I never applied for such a thing. There was an “intern” copy pasting the job requirements. The job itself seemed too good to be true. I looked up the actual company said number was impersonating on Linkdin and the roles offered were for experienced workers (not trainees like the scammers said) and had roles for very specific areas of the uk. The scammer couldn't elaborate on where this “job” is based but it could miraculously work from home. They had very bad English grammar.
