A man claiming to be from office of fair trading called saying I had £ 5000 cheque from ppi which they had claimed for me and I had to buy a £250 Ukash voucher and then the cheque would be delivered I questioned this and the caller calling himself Peter McGuire became rather frustrated I said I would look into it and he should call me back tomorrow! This number 01730267591 was used to make an automated call to my land line. The call claimed to be from BT saying that they were going to cut off my internet that day (05/11/2018). It asked me to press 1 to keep my internet service. As I am not a BT customer and have had similar calls before I put the phone down but I am concerned that other people could be scammed.

Steve Star from some company offering legal advice and help. Asked if I d had an accident in the last 2.5 years or if someone in the family had. I asked him for the source of the information on me. He asked me what I meant? I said that if he was saying I had an accident , he must have some information on me and in that case, I had a right to know the source. He said " we help people , that s what we do" then he hung up - very helpful!!
