Called from a local directory code, so answered it. Female spoke with a northern accent and was quite chatty and trying to engage in conversation. When I asked what the call was regarding, she called me a prick and hung up. Probably spam.
This call was made from an extremely noisy office, where the background noise was so loud that I had real trouble hearing the person on the line. They offered to call back - and did so, but about an hour later. They said they were calling from my phone company about an upgrade, but when I asked them to confirm which phone company, the caller got very annoyed (raised voice) and defensive - and most importantly, couldn't tell me which phone provider asked them to call.

There is a post going round Facebook saying this number, purporting to be from Lloyds Bank Fraud division, is in fact scammers trying to get you to call them so they can get your private bank details from you. If in doubt, Google your bank's telephone number to get their fraud dept - don't rely on the telephone number in the letter. It may look legitimate, but it may not be.
