Twic today purporting to be telephone blocking service. When I asked how much, the phone went dead. On second occasion told them it was a scam and it again went dead.

Rang once, couldn t understand name of company but heard PPI, so put phone down, rang back immediately and the male operative said, "Why did you put the phone down", I replied, "Cos I m not interested". He answered, "Interested in what" in an angry tone, so I just said, "In whatever you re selling" and hung up again. The phone then rang again immediately and I didn t answer. Didn t like the tone of the call at all, or appreciate being rung back a further twice.

They asked for my wife - using her maiden name and we ve been married for 11 years, where do they get their info from?! Apparently 01234 339 numbers are allocated to BT, who in turn have sublet them to rogue operators like this. Anyroad: add this no. to your blocklist.
