This number called me up to ‘follow up’ after a fraud attempt on my Revolut card. SCAM Fraud Banking Firstly, a test message was received on a mobile saying it was the Fraud department of a Credit Card company and they would be calling about “recent activity from your card. Expect a call from our Fraud team. Please wait for our call”. That was followed 2mins later by a phone call to the same mobile number saying it was from 02071934897 (London). Not a number associated with a Credit Card company! The male caller asked for the additional card holder by name but hadn’t called that person
SCAM - caller claimed to be from British Gas wanting to book me in for a boiler service. She didn't ask for anyone here by name so I didn't engage, just ended the call & blocked the number. I rang British Gas using the genuine number from their website - they confirmed that no-one's called me today.
