This is a telephone scammer. The call pretends to be from HMRC asking to call them back because they want to speak to your solicitor, give a name you are supposed to ask for (sorry I can't remember it, David something) they add that there will be consequences for not calling them back. I was almost caught completely with this scam. I have been having problems with my internet speeds recently so believed them. Stupidly I did some of the things they asked me to check the speeds. Got suspicious when they asked me to submit me internet details in order to get the compensation that they claim I was owed. Also my mouse pointer started moving of own accord, which gave suspicion that they had control of my computer. I have changed some passwords as a precaution but thankfully they were not succes

This was actually just an automated BT text-to-landline service telling me the time slot for my Costco parcel delivery that I was expecting, so this was completely legit for me. It will try ringing you several times until you listen to the text message so just listen and it will stop. However, as it's a generic BT service it is open to abuse but I would advise against blocking it because the message delivery service itself is not a scam, just be aware though that the message you receive could be bogus.
