SCAM HMRC TAX SCAM - criminal proceeding bollox
SCAM. Automated message claiming to be HMRC and states that there is a tax warrant out in your name. Asks you to press 1 and threatens that if you don't a 'warrant' for your arrest will be issued right away. If anyone who is involved in these types of SCAMS read this - I hope you realise that you are a massive CUNT.
It is a Natwest number as I spoke to a lady who works in my local branch. Only problem is when you call back it goes to a central team
Repetitive and very annoying.
So they called me earlier today claiming to be Virgin. They were offering me a deal to upgrade my services and I was wary of them for quite a while, however they never asked me for any bank details only to confirm personal information so I proceeded with the call. After seeing the reviews here I got worried after by how much they knew about my account so I called Virgin, who confirmed it was in fact their marketing team and the deal I was offered had been genuine and that upgrades were indeed in the works.
Believe this is a scam, caller said from Amazon to activate Amazon Prime for £79.99 . HANG UP, asks for access to your computer.
