Got yet another call today and three yesterday with the above number saying I took a loan out with Halifax in 2004 and paid it back 2008 saying they were PPI and I had money coming back to me..they were Indian . Sick of these calls all the time, they re so persistent.

You all need to be aware that this number is likely SPOOOFED. Many scammers are DUPLICATING numbers like Fife Council, so that you assume it s a legit call, should you not answer. That way, they cover their tracks and the number doesn t get blocked, i.e. they distance themselves from the scam. Some of you will have been called by the real Fife Council, others not. It s common. I m not near Fife!
