SCAM An automated voce tells you they are your Internet Service provider, that illegal activity has been noticed on your account and it will be terminated in 24 hours unless you speak to their executive. A common scam but they are persistent and will call constantly. Ignore them and hang up.
Number called suggesting that my NI Number has been linked to fraud, this is an automated message, asked to follow instructions with regard to National Insurance Number being used in a fraud, did not follow this as it appears to be a scam.

Currently in the US and just had a call from this number. I didn t answer but found this page so I ll endorse peoples comments about being contacted whilst abroad. I ve recently added my mobile number with the Telephone Preference Service but it can take a month before that kicks in.

SCAM. Automated voice message with a female voice used. Reported to be from Inland Revenue and Customs, and claimed that it was vital that I (or my solicitor) phoned the number back. Threatened drastic legal action if I didn't comply. Hung up immediately after.
