You will either hear silence or a message asking if you are having problems with debt. If you press 5 to speak to someone then you are cut off BUT your number is stored and you will receive a follow up call from them. When I answered the call a man said he was calling from a security company which installed alarms etc - I said I was not interested and he said ok and I switched off phone. It was to my mobile number which I have only given to friends and family - cannot understand how I am now getting calls on this phone mainly from phones which appear to be in the North of England. Lots of times no-one answers but equally I do not answer most of them as presume they are scams

A lady was on the phone asking whether I was involved in an accident that was not my fault. I asked them where they had my number from and then she hung up.
SCAM: Automated message saying my national insurance number was involved in illegal activity and I would be arrested if I didn't "press 1 to speak to an officer". I did not press 1 and the call ended after the automated message finished. I called back and the number was not recognised.
This number 01613129931 called me, they were quite strong on the phone (a recorded message) saying I had better contact HMRC right away or else they were coming to arrest me,..such pricks!
