Hi Jeff - Talk Talk do not phone customers to say there is a problem with their router or computer, even. This is a well known scam where they hope to get you to download a file...

I have the TruCaller App (Free version) it notifies you of scams, etc before you answer. I will be using this on my new phone, it s a great little App and instantly told me this was a PPI scam. I recommend this App to anyone, and I blocked this number straight away. All numbers TruCaller checks against a huge database of Blaclisted phone numbers.

12 calls in the last 24 hours from this number. Answered first call and was told they were to do with PPI, I immediately asked to be removed from calling list caller then became rude and abusive. No further calls answered, this seems to not deter them at all, and is bordering on criminal harassment.

Annoying no answer when I picked up, then they call again 5 minutes later. If it's a legit company it's a great way for them to have their number blocked.

Answered the phone, none there. said hello, then I heard laughing and joking. They realised I had answered and just hung up. I have no idea how they have got my number. This company should be banned

Unfortunately, I can not say much about this number, as you always hangs up on me. Almost every day I get up to five calls from this number. It will also leave a message on the answering machine.

Asian person said he was from the Telephone Preference Service. Had my surname and flat no/postcode. Said they can stop scammers calling - know that the TPS cannot do this with numbers that may look like UK nos but are routed from Asia. He started to ask whether I still paid by Direct Debit (TPS is free!!!) so told him I didn t want to speak to him and hung up.
