Number called twice, purporting to be from Caernarfon. Hangs up on answering. In my experience this is an auto-dial check to make sure that a real person answers the number. I will no doubt be getting calls from the Indian subcontinent, with the caller using redirect software to make the call appear to be coming from the UK. Silent call on repeat dial it seems!
Has been calling repeatedly and today was the first time I answered. It was a recording of a female voice. The message said that my national insurance number had been compromised due to fraudulent(?) activity. It went on to say that I should press 1 otherwise action will be brought against me. I didn’t press 1 and hung up.

This is old story - this number is used by some "insurance company" - they check databases of car accidents and try to call you with offer of 'unclaimed compensation' for a car accident with some money set aside for you, but in most cases this is as usually fake to make you tell them your personal data... This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre.
