THIS NUMBER KEEPS CALLING EVERYDAY FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS, I HAVE NOT ANSWERED THIS, MY ANSWERPHONE AUTOMATICALLY ANSWERS ON THE SEVENTH RING AND THIS NUMBER ENDS CALL ON SIXTH RING EACH TIME..THIS CAN BE OF NO USE ONLY TO ANNOY YOU! SOME PEOPLE ON INTERNET SAY THIS IS ANGLIAN HOME IMPROVEMENTS (NOT SURE ABOUT THIS HAVE HAD TROUBLE WITH THEM IN PAST AND ONLY WAY TO STOP IT WAS THREATEN THEM WITH THE POLICE!!! THAT WORKED).

This is the second time I've received these unsolicited calls- the first time was from a different number but it's the same scam. The recorded voice message says that it is a call from HMRC regarding tax fraud. You are requested to press 1 to speak to an officer who then calls you back from a listed HMRC number. They inform you that you owe tax & when you ask for details or question why you've not received any written information they become argumentative & threatening.

Been getting calls from this number over last few days so called them back. First a woman answered, seemed like it was the last thing she wanted to do and told me the line was bad so she would call me back. No call back so I called again. A man called Joshua stated he was from Lotto Social and would like to offer me 5 free Euro Millions lines for tomorrow night (24/04/2015). Fraud, said they were Virgin security. Went along with him for 3 mins, pressing buttons on my landline when he was telling me to go to AppStore. Then he asked about my phone line I said it was BT. He then said he was from BT. I didn’t point out at the start of the call he’d said he was from Virgin. He asked who provided my Internet connection, I said that I used to have the Internet but it broke about a year ago and as I didn’t use it I didn’t get it fixed. He hung up. Total call time, 5 minutes
