Certainly is dangerous as well as annoying and if answered they hang up. Nowadays, just answer a call or open an email, is what it takes for their scam to be successful. Unfortunately, the development of technology is a tumb up in our lives as well as a tumb down for our security and privacy. In this case is better not to answer and the ringing stops if dismissed.

SCAM Telephoned at 7.30am on a Saturday morning. Said they were from Microsoft and wanted me to check my computer and advised that my computer was being hacked. They wanted me to press the window button and the letter R and they would stop the hackers. I declined the offer.
Im getting 5 calls a day from this number. I dont ever answer it. A few days ago I had to call lendingstream.co.uk on my mobile because they had a robot calling my landline several times a day after an ex-lodger who d taken a loan with them. My landline went straight to the robot hence used mobile. After calling lendingstream on my mobile I started getting 01267226769 calls. First time Ive had nuisance calls.
