Calling saying they were from Currys / PC World , accent suggested Indian caller, Currys / PC World do not have permission to call me - caller hung up when challenged on this. I suspect it was a scam call (your PC is infected with a virus type scam)

SCAM- think this is a scam call. My mother has been getting a lot of calls that leave a voicemail messages asking for money to listen to the voice message I think this is one of those numbers. Avoid at all cost and block the number if you can.

Completely unnerved, I said that Action Fraud would be delighted to hear about it and then I rang off without giving any of my details. This has got me really, really worried. I do my utmost to keep everything secure, with passwords, 3 step authentication, etc. How has he got in?

This number called me this morning 10.02 am. What appeared to be recorded message told me that they were speaking from Visa and my card had been used to place an £800 bet in the USA, if this wasn't me press a button on the phone. Daily calls from this number with no one on the other end of the line. I've tried returning the call only to be met with an automated response that the number isn't receiving calls at the moment. We are a business so answering these rogue calls all day is taking time away from us being able to do our job.
