SPAM / SCAM / ANNOYING - where did they get out telephone number from? The call was supposedly about old windows and doors scrappage scheme - to see if we were eligible. It seemed that the caller at the other end of the telephone may have been AI rather than an actual person as 'he' didn't actually comment on what I had answered but just went onto the next question. I therefore asked if it was a real person or AI and if it was AI, then I wasn't interested, and hung up.
SCAM Saying from the bank (which bank?) and that my card had been used to buy Amazon goods and an International money transfer, then asking me to press 1 if this wasn't me. I deleted message.

Someone called my landline on this number about 0815 this morning and it woke me up! No message left. It is a similar number to a couple of calls I have received this week. The previous callers claimed to be from BT, saying there was a problem with my broadband connection - which there isn’t and I told them so. Calling from housing disrepair. They had my full name not sure where from but I own my own house and have seen previous reports this is to do with council properties. They keep calling every day from a different number. Blocked each one.
This number called me on 28.04.23. Supposedly, a message from my bank to inform that my debit card had been used for suspicious purchases. To cancel the 2 transactions and speak to an agent press 1, which I did. A woman with a very strong foreign accent requested my name, date of birth and address in order to make the cancellation. She then asked for my card sort code, which rang alarm bells. I told her that if she was calling from my bank she should already know that and I would ring them. She hung up.
