Web development company from India using a false UK landline number. This is now the 70th call from an overseas company after registering a domain name yesterday. As a web development company of many years standing, we have never had this hassle before when registering new domain names for our clients. These people are like vultures!!!! I can t blame them for trying but for goodness sake, DO IT ABOVE BOARD, STOP HIDING BEHIND FAKE UK NUMBERS!!!

Poor chap has had his number sold to insurance scammers (or cloned by them). They will call you to scam you, but when you call back, a normal guy who has unfortunately been tied up in this will answer.

23 Nov 2021 - Silence at first, then a click and background call centre noise. An Asian person then said "Hello Maam, it's "Jacks from Carphone Warehouse. How are you today?" This call came into me whilst I was in the shower. The female operator started talking immediately, I had to really raise my voice to interrupt her call whereby I explained that I could not he at her as I did not have my hearing aids in, but was in the process of trying to put them in. My expectation was that she would hold on whilst I did that. Instead with no hearable comment the phone went dead. I felt she was extremely rude, I’m disabled, had got out of the shower to answer her call & Im deaf.
Missed call - googled it and it said SPAM so didn't answer.

I got a call from this number regarding PPI. I told the caller I wasnt interested & put the phone down. He then RANG ME BACK & demanded to know why Id hung up on him when I hadnt heard what he had to say. I told him I still wasnt interested but he persisted so I just kept saying ovet & over Im not interested until he lost his temper & hung up. Victory for me!!!
