Caller claimed to be from vague named company calling about a non-existent accident. I tried to reported them to TPS as I m registered, but TPS say the company details cannot be verified, due to a lack of a UK physical address. TPS says it is harder to trace these callers, because of their vague company name. Also asked them to remove me from their calling list several times, and they refused to remove me every time. SCAM - potential Fraud Caller advises of an unusual purchase on your Amazon Prime account - in this instance £1049 - and asks for either confirmation (respond button 1) or query (respond button 2) . Curiously they refer to a card payment with "your usual payment card" and give no confirmation such as last 4 digits. Has all the makings of seeking to get you to part with bank/credit card details. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 19282007xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, car accident / accident claims, insurance marketing - very usual mix. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
Knew full name, asked for new offers to family and myself of new phone not sure if legit but I have received many from similar Pakistani/Indian call centers- just said not interested (said they will keep in notes)
