SCAM Telephoned at 7.30am on a Saturday morning. Said they were from Microsoft and wanted me to check my computer and advised that my computer was being hacked. They wanted me to press the window button and the letter R and they would stop the hackers. I declined the offer.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 08437240xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range?

Called the number and automatic response sid they were the Central Claims Group who are anotther PPI company

has called me 11 times, getting sick of it

Received 3 calls today, checked this page and never answered, getting really clever now using local codes to cloak telemarketing numbers

called and said they were from Microsoft, my computer was being blocked as it showed I was using it for illegal gambling and pornography, unless I switched it on and they could fix it for me. Told them it is was ok, I didn't need it fixed because my sponsor at gamblers anonymous had said that website was fine - they hung up

This is a useless site….asking for a rating on a phone number I was trying to identify! IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT ABOUT A PHONE NUMBER….DON'T PHONE IT UNTIL YOU HAVE IDENTIFIED ITS VALIDITY….IT COULD BE A SCAM….THIS SITE WILL NOT BE OF USE!

False accident nonsence

A caller with heavy Asian accent told me he was calling from Visa fraud investigation line. Said my Visa debit card has been used for 2 fraudulent transactions with Amazon and Western Union. I told him I had 2 Visa debit cards and asked which one he was talking about. He asked me what banks they were with and i said if he was from Visa he would know what bank the card was with. I asked him for the last 4 digits on the card and again he said he could not tell me that information. SCAMMERS !!!!! I hung

ppi phones 4 or 5 times a day

have now received several calls from this number. can hear office noise in background but they hang up when you speak

Sent a text to me saying my apple ID had been cancelled and that I needed to pay for a new one they sent me a link to click on. I don't even own an apple device :/

Not wanted

Accident claims firm. Seems to think I was in a road traffic accident even though I don't drive!

SCAM Call was about a transaction on my paypal account that I didn't approve, there has been no activity on my account.

SCAM Male robot voice claimed to be HMRC, telling me there's some tax fraud and if I didn't press 1, the warrant would be issued and I would "be arrested shortly"
