Received a call from this number appertaining to be from Amazon asking me to confirm/cancel a purchase of £99. When I said cancel she asked me what device i used so she could send me a cancellation form? I said i was away from my computer but she said she would wait on the line until I was in front of it. SCAM! Called saying I have evaded tax and there is an arrest warrant. Pressing 1 led me to the hold music and a robot which most scammers use which say your call is very important to us. This is definitely not how you would be contacted for tax fraud. You would be arrested already.

Got a call from 01246 255920 it was the same company UK Finance who keep ringing me on different numbers. They said i am due 10 year bank charges but could not tell me which bank. I just keep them on the line saying i need to write the number down then can't find my glasses etc. It must be 6 times they have called asking me to ring 0913 1240 871 which could cost me around £25 a call as it is a premium number. Of course once i do ring 0913 they can then release my cheque. I must have wasted at least an hour
ring at leasr once a week. not yet answered as being bombarded by similar calls..never agreed to my details being passed on yet they obv have..the guilty companies doing this should be investigated and fined. driving me mad they are
