Called about insurance on household appliances. Got the make of my washing machine and TV wrong. I asked what sort of cooker I had, gas he said, I don’t have gas in the house. I asked what bank I used, got that wrong too. When I told him he rang off!! Very rude????????

Unsolicited call from LRC regarding changing conservatory roof for a fully insulated one. We don t have a conservatory - apparently the knew we had a conservatory from their data . We are members of the TPS...
this Indian woman rang me and for over three minutes told me that she was ringing to prevent any nuisance calls to my number in the future. I told her she was being a nuisance.... and she kept telling me that she was from the anti nuisance call line of the UK... that was the extent of the conversation. Felt like it was a Bart Simpson style prank call.

However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money. Fraud SCAM The caller claimed to be from mobile phone promotion department offering a discount. I established that the caller was a fraud and called them out at which point they stopped being polite and friendly and began to taunt and be abusive. This call has been reported to the UK National Cyber Security Centre.

Claims to be calling from Carphone Warehouse offering a deal on mobile phone. Didn't give them time to explain, asked them to remove my number and never call me back and blocked them. Given my employer has just highlighted to us that there is a scam doing the rounds from companies claiming to be from mobile phone companies, and I have never had any dealings with Carphone Warehouse - its likely this is a scam

When Link contact you they might ask you to give them a reference number which they have previously left on your answering machine.
